I thought I'd read a lot of cat stories, but most of those are new to me. It sounds great!

They're from all over the place--three have just been published in 2009.
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

I've read at least 1 of those 3.

That's a nice looking TOC. I am so getting this anthology.
(Frozen) (Thread)

Thanks. It was a lot of fun to put together. Over 200,000 words of kitties, Manticores, Sphinxes, Pumas, Jaguars, Saber Tooths, Tigers and other feline beasties.

Very cool list. Looking forward to reading King, De Lint, Martin, Clarke, Hand, Beagle and Gaiman. That's an impressive collection nonetheless.

Looking forward to it.

Isn't the term for a group of cats a kindle? Maybe this should be an e-book. ;)
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

Except for Peter S. Beagle. ;P

Charles, I'll see if I can get you review copies of it when the time comes. I'll also see if I can get you review copies of Lovecraft Unbound and The Best Horror of the Year volume One.

As the person of two cats, I'm very much looking forward to this!
(Frozen) (Thread)

They will climb out of the book and sneak up in the middle of the night and BITE you :-)
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

I'm allergic to cats, but I still love them. This sounds like a snuggly fun read!
(Frozen) (Thread)

Well, most of the stories are not cutesy cat stories. There's horror and nasty stories in which cats get hurt and others in which cats hurt people. Meow mix!@
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

Oh, that's what I meant. There's nothing better than snuggling up on a cold, autumn night and reading dark scary cat tales. Fun!
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

I hope you'll enjoy the variety of stories and yes, snuggle up with the book when it comes out. :-)
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

I'm more of a dog person myself, but I still like cats.

I've read at least two of these stories before: Kelly Link's "Catskin" and Theodora Goss's "The Puma". I like a lot of the writers in the TOC, so I think I'll get the anthology after it comes out.
(Frozen) (Thread)

That's what I like to hear :-) (the part about getting the antho) !
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

Oh wow. I'm totally overwhelmed here. My silly kitty tale (aka Genesis according to cats) is in excellent company.

And now my kitty Spitha(=spark in Greek, who's also the real author of the story) insists I should go brag all over the web about that. ;)

Have a great weekend,

Re: Greetings from Greece

Hi Christine,
It is, and deserves that company :-). Please do mention it around the web...

You too.
(Frozen) (Parent) (Thread)

Looks good to me :)
